HI, I’M PIPER.

I’m an advertising and English major from the University of Texas at Austin. I completed the Texas Creative sequence to become (surprise) an art director! (don’t tell my English major friends). I specialize in Communication Design, focused in graphic design, concept-driven storytelling, and branding.

EXPERIENCE

  • Clients: Pecana Milk, The Village, Mimi’s, Heidi Houston

    Concepted and presented three concepts for Pecana Milk, helped to complete an RFP for Jefferson Transit and Yakima Library Systems, created a digital marketing plan for Stav Creative (concepted Instagram social strategy, created social post templates)

  • Clients: Mischief, Havas Health, Digitas Health

    Did whatever was needed day-of the shoot.

    Highlights: assisted in blowing wind at talent’s faces using a leaf blower, assisted a cat actor on set, filled in as a stand-in for a shot where the floor was fully covered in glitter

  • Conceptualized and designed visual assets for a new educational film YouTube channel, including thumbnails, a channel banner, and channel branding

    Conceptualized and designed 4 visual approaches for a short film title card, including selecting typefaces, textures, and layout, that were adopted into the final design

    Created cool spec campaigns. Art directed everything from social, to video, to print campaigns.

  • Created everything a new brand could need. Our final campaign was bought and trademarked by Create Amor

ONE COOL THING TO KNOW ABOUT ME

I started learning American Sign Language at 15, and by 17, I was volunteering as an ASL interpreter at the Texas Book Festival. At 19, I spent 20 months working with a Deaf woman at Ulta Beauty as her interpreter and supervisor. Since then, I’ve continued my love for ASL at UT Austin, completing two semesters of coursework. In the future, I hope to get a certification in ASL to become fluent.

To the left is my name sign! It was given to me by Melanny, my Deaf coworker at Ulta Beauty. It combines the sign for music with the letter P (because I love music!).
