We are planning on turning this into an anthology web series. I already have 2 sequel ideas in mind.

The idea behind the short is that grief can cause people to make bad decisions, and that you shouldn’t let grief consume you.

The story follows Matt, who returns to his secluded ranch home after the death of his boyfriend, Ryan. While grieving, a stranger leaves a mysterious, grotesque box on his porch that appears to be made of flesh and covered in human faces and eyes. Although the box is initially empty, it begins mimicking Ryan’s voice, drawing Matt toward it. Believing he may somehow be able to reconnect with Ryan, Matt approaches the box and looks inside, only to find an endless black void. When the voices tell him to “come inside,” a hand emerges and violently pull him into the box. Moments later, Matt’s friend Maya arrives and immediately recognizes the box, realizing that whatever happened to Matt has happened because of it and presumably she’s the next owner of this box.
